Teresa Hornaday

Hi I'm Teresa Hornaday and I have been involved with horses since before I could walk. I was raised the Native American way of life, because my mom is a Mikasuki Indian. I learned how to train horses with no force and by trusting you as a partner, so you can be one. Over the years I have had my share of horses and I have worked with mustangs, Tennessee Walking horses, Arabians, Paints, Belgians, donkeys, mules and ponies.  But my heart was stolen by the Appaloosas.

I have ridden Western pleasure and English, but my passion was the rodeo.  I did barrel racing and pole bending for years and then decided that roping was fun so I learned to do that. Then I turned to reining and team penning.  I ran the rodeo circuit for most of my young life until I became a mom of two wonderful girls.

Now I teach all ages how to ride and become one with the horse.  I love the way a horse makes you forget all of your troubles and takes you to a place of love and peace.  And I love to see people that get to enjoy that part of life.  A horse is a majestic animal that we are lucky to be part of to enjoy their companionship.  I own two beautiful horses:  an Appaloosa named Miakoda and an American Shetland pony named Noel.  Hope to see you soon and come join the passion I have for these wonderful creatures.
