CATIE BUG A.K.A CATIE
Catie is our 20 year old quarter horse cross mare. She stands 15’2 hands and is built like a tank. Catie has been with Saddle Up for many years. She was previously shown in local speed events, however due to an old injury she prefers to take it slower these days. Catie is primarily ridden and shown in western ranch classes and is a prominent figure in our therapy program.
UMIZOOMI A.K.A LUCKY
Lucky is our 18 year old Arabian cross gelding. He stands around 14.2 hands and is very quick on his feet! Lucky has done many things throughout his life including jumping and rodeo speed events! Lucky can be ridden both english and western, however he is a pony with a typical pony attitude so he is best suited for those who can handle his pony antics. Lucky is currently being shown in english classes as well as in ranch. He is also a prominent figure in our therapy program.
Merlin is our 21 year old, 15'2 hand, Mustang Cross Gelding. Merlin is great for any age and ability of rider as long as you can handle his bouncy gaits. Merlin's true passion is jumping and if it were up to him that is all he would do but he also preforms very well western and even has a talent for speed!
MOZART IN MOTION A.K.A MOE
Moe is our 19 year old, 15’ hand, Morgan gelding. Being a rescue we do not know much about his past but he is a wonderful member of the Saddle Up team . Moe is a large part of our therapy program and can go from babysitting the smallest of riders to winning firsts in the show arena.
REMINGTON FULLY LOADED A.K.A REMI
Remi is our 16’3 hand 21 year old OTTB gelding. He was originally a race horse but that didn't stick for obvious reasons. Remi would rather live life in the slow lane and does best jogging around with the littlest of riders.
WELCOME TROUBLE A.KA. TROUBLE
Trouble is our 24 year old registered quarter horse mare. She is 15’2 hands and is an ex western show horse. In her younger years she was shown at area and state level shows, now she lives life in the slow lane. Trouble is a perfect ride for both beginner and experienced riders alike. She can be ridden both western and English and is a big member of our therapy program.
DINO GENIUS A.K.A. EINSTEIN
Einstein is our 5 year old thoroughbred. He is around 16.1 hands and is still in the midst of his training. Einstein is the newest member of the Saddle up herd and is slowly making his way into the program. Though he doesn't participate in much of the therapy activities yet he does do his duty during our barntimes and is doing well with some of those working at showing!

Certified/Registered PATH Instructor
Special Olympic Coach
I started Saddle Up in 2003 due to a passion for horses and teaching. I am a mom of 4 beautiful daughters and 1 gorgeous granddaughter. I have been teaching for over 18 years. I love teaching and combining that love with my love of horses just seemed natural to me. Saddle Up began on a small farm in Seminole and quickly outgrew our space. The organization became a 501 c3 and moved to Pinellas Park. I never knew how theses gracious animals responded until watching our first horse Flip relate to a child in a wheelchair. Everyone has an "Aha" moment when it comes to horses and therapy and mine was watching my horse lay his head on the tray of a quadriplegic so she could pet his head with her chin. We give HOPE where sometimes there is no hope and I thank God everyday for using me as his vessel for Saddle Up.
